Of Anger In Women

“For raising and appeasing anger in another; it is done chiefly by choosing of times, when men are frowardest and worst disposed, to incense them.” -Sir Francis Bacon

Anger sits deeply within a woman. When it arises from her soul, it is like a dragon spitting fire into the open air. There are many conditions that provoke anger within a woman. Anger is provoked from the envy of her “friends,” defamation of her character, gossip being spread like wildfire, and an unfaithful lover. The envy of her “friends” provokes anger only because they are considered to be her backbone when she needs support. If they are envious of her, then they are fake in their intentions to provide her with happiness. Enemies are envious, so a woman should choose how to classify an envious friend. To defame her name is like burning her at the stake. Anger is created to protect her children from the scrutiny of their peers; her family name from public injustice; her character from the negative opinion of others. When gossip is being spread and her name sits in the center of it, her soul is ignited. It is set ablaze especially when no truth rests upon their gossip. This causes the defamation of her character, which she will allow no one to destroy because it could lead to the destruction of her offspring. She protects her offspring like a hawk and peck at the ankles of any who attempts to harm them. Last, but no less the least, is an unfaithful lover. An unfaithful lover creates tension in the body; soreness in the muscles; unrest in the soul; steam within the ears; a head that streams with evil thoughts; eyes that are filled with the flames of Hell. As she gives her all to him, catering to his needs like a mother nursing her baby, she at least expects his heart and trust in return. However, when he is unfaithful in words and actions, her soul becomes tainted knowing that her hard work has gone unappreciated. She then acts on her initial emotions, which grow, as one in anger. She should not then be put on trial for her life when she was provoked. Anger is not admirable in the character of a woman according to the rules of society. A woman is supposed to be prime, proper, and polite. However, society itself lights the match that ignites this unfitting emotion. Therefore, they should be blamed for a woman’s blazing fire!
